Popolazione

Every province has an amount of population depending on the type of terrain. The Nile provinces and Oases have the highest population followed by the Red Sea provinces and then the Mountain and Desert provinces. The population of your Empire will grow by 1 to 3 percent per turn. These civilians will be added to your central stock and can be used for several purposes:
  • Add them to the population of a province.
  • Recruit the citizens as soldiers.
  • Train them as priests to serve the gods
  • Recruit them as sailors on your merchant fleet
Once population is used for one of these causes they cannot be taken back into your central stock. For example, civilians can never be taken from a province and added to the army. The number of available civilians you have each turn will be shown in the Game Info section on the top of the page.
If you don't use all the civilians they will be carried over to the next turn.

Add Population

You can add population to a province. This will increase the taxes and food produced and consumed in the province as well as adding to future population growth.

Rebellion

The people will follow their Ruler without question. But to make sure they do, they need to be guarded. In every province you need to station some garrison troops to keep the population under control.
For every 200 citizens you need 1 garrison trooper to keep the peace. When you don't have enough soldiers, there is a chance that the people will start a rebellion. This depends on the Regards of your Ruler. If there are no soldiers in a province, the rebellion is automatic.
These rules do not apply to newly conquered provinces, as these citizens just have been conquered.
